Tour itinerary

Day 1

Tuesday, April 7

Today our adventure starts! We will be traveling to Wichita, KS for our night stay. We will meet our guide who will be with us for the duration of the tour. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.

Day 2

Wednesday, April 8

After breakfast, we will travel to Oklahoma City, OK. On our way, we will make a stop at the eccentric Round Barn in Arcadia. You will have lunch on your own at Pop Into Pops 66 - a modern soda lover’s paradise. Before we check into our hotel, we will tour the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Dinner is included this evening.

Day 3

Thursday, April 9

Breakfast included this morning. We continue west on the old Route 66, stopping at the Route 66 Museum. We will visit with Harley, while we tour his shop - Sandhill Curiosity Shop. Lunch is included. There will be a photo-stop at Shamrock’s U-Drop Inn. Dinner is included at the legendary Big Texan Steak Ranch. We will stay the night in Amarillo, TX.

Day 4

Friday, April 10

Breakfast included. As we travel to Albuquerque, we will make a stop at the must see Cadillac Ranch, the famous roadside attraction. We will have a photo-stop at our half way mark in Adrian, TX. We will see the Blue Swallow Motel, a true vintage motel that has been serving Route 66 travelers since 1939, plus see the murals while visiting Tucumcari, NM. Lunch is included at Del’s - a classic diner. Before we arrive at the hotel for our two night stay, we will tour the Santa Rosa Auto Museum. Dinner is included this evening.

Day 5

Saturday, April 11

Breakfast included. Today, we will have a guided tour of the Santa Fe’s Historic Plaza, you’ll hear about the rich culture and see classic adobe architecture. After the tour, you will have time to have lunch and explore on your own. Dinner and evening are at your lei- sure.

Day 6

Sunday, April 12

Breakfast is included this morning. We will continue west today. We will have lunch (included) at the historic El Rancho Hotel, where the Hollywood legends once stayed. We will make a stop at the Code Talker Memorial, honoring the WWII heroes. We will explore the Petrified Forest National Park. As we make our way to Winslow, AZ, we will make multiple scenic stops. We will be ’Standin’ on the Corner in Winslow, AZ” before we check into the hotel. Dinner is included.

Day 7

Monday, April 13

Breakfast included. We will visit the Meteor Crater. We will then drive through historic Flagstaff and Williams, AZ. We will visit the legendary Snow Cap Drive-in. We will make a stop in Hackberry and Kingman. Here you will see vintage gas stations, old time attractions, and the Route 66 Museum. Late lunch on your own in Kingman. Tonight, we will be staying in Laughlin, NV.

Day 8

Tuesday, April 14

Breakfast included. We will visit the old mining town, Oatman. Here you can interact with and feed the burros that roam free. After we enter California, we will make a stop at the Goffs School House - a glimpse into the early desert education. Lunch on own in Barstow. As we continue on Route 66, we will stop at the Bottle Tree Ranch - a whimsical forest of glass bottles. We will stay the night in San Bernardino, CA. Dinner is included.

Day 9

Wednesday, April 15

Breakfast included. We are almost to the end! We will make a photo-stop at the famous Wigwam Motel. We will arrive in Pasadena and will cruise down Colorado Blvd - home of the Rose Parade. Lunch is included at Filippe’s - a legendary sandwich shop in Los Angeles. After lunch, we arrive at the Santa Monica Pier, the end of Route 66! We will stay the night in Burbank, CA. Dinner and evening at your leisure.

Day 10

Thursday, April 16

Breakfast included. We will fly back home today after traveling the historic Route 66.
