Calgary Stampede / Canadian Rockies

We’re off to Canada to the famous Calgary Stampede and the beautiful Canadian Rockies. It’s just a days drive to Jamestown, ND our home for tonight. Dinner is included tonight.

Heading westward again today after breakfast (included). Just before Medora, we will make a picture stop at the Painted Desert. Our noon lunch stop will be at Medora, ND. Medora was founded by a wealthy French nobleman who planned to revolutionize the meatpacking industry. The venture failed, but its an interesting story. Lunch will be on your own in historic Medora. Continuing west this afternoon, our home for tonight will be in Glasgow, MT. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.

Breakfast included this morning. We will head north into Canada with customs later this morning. Please have your traveling documents ready. We will arrive into Calgary, Alberta by late afternoon for our two night stay. Dinner is included at the hotel this evening.

We will depart for the Stampede grounds, where you will have time to explore the park on your own; visit the Midway, listen to live music at various performance stages, Elbow River Camp, see the many displays of western art and a variety of vendors to shop. Lunch is on your own. We have reserved seats for the afternoon rodeo. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.

Breakfast is included this morning. Our local guide joins us today as we tour the village of Banff. Where visitors come from all over the globe. A picture stop will be made at the legendary Banff Springs. The Sulfur Mountain Gondola ride is the highlight today. Ride to the top in a glass-enclosed gondola and enjoy a 360 ° view of the Banff area. Lunch on your own today. This afternoon, we are back on the beautiful parkway and stop at Lake Louise known for its turquoise water. Our two night stay will be in Banff, Alberta. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.

Breakfast included. We meet our local guide for another day of touring. We will go through the fairytale land of the Canadian Rockies. We ride along the Icefield Parkway - which will give us spectacular views of mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, and turquoise lakes. A picnic lunch is included today. We stop at the Columbia Icefields in Jasper National Park for a tour of Athabasca Glacier. The specially designed “snocoaches” bring visitors onto the glacier, where they can walk around on glacial ice and peer into deep blue crevasses. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.

Breakfast is included this morning. Heading east today, we travel through the wheat fields of Alberta and into the province of Saskatchewan. Our home for tonight will be in Regina, Saskatchewan. Dinner is included.

Breakfast is included this morning. Headed back into the United States, we will come through customs once again. Please have your traveling documents ready. We will enjoy the scenry of North Dakota, as our journey continues south this afternoon. Our overnight will be back in Jamestown, ND. Dinner is included this evening.
