Christmas Around the World in Omaha

Today, we will be traveling to Omaha, NE, where we will be spending the next three nights. Lunch is included. Tonight, we will have a Polish dinner & presentation (included in tour).

After eating your breakfast (included in tour), we will have a step-on guide join us for a city tour of Omaha. We will finish the city tour with a behind the scenes tour of the Omaha Community Playhouse. We will then head to Boys Town, where you will have a guided tour of Father Flanagan’s Boys Town, the house is decorated for Christmas. Learn about the Irish Christmas traditions here. Lunch on your own in the Boys Town Café. Tonight, we will enjoy a homemade Greek holiday meal at the Greek Orthodox Church (included in tour), followed by a Greek cultural dance performance. We will end the night with a performance of A Christmas Carol at the Omaha Community Playhouse.

Breakfast is included. After breakfast, we will visit a Lithuanian Bakery - sample tortes and learn about Lithuania. We will visit the former 1930’s union train station, with its 40 foot Christmas tree. We will learn about the history of Omaha and explore retired passenger trains. Lunch on your own in Old Market District. Explore the Hollywood Candy store. After lunch, we will attend a live hawk & owl presentation at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center. This evening, we will enjoy a Omaha steak dinner at Casio’s Steakhouse (included in tour). To end our night, the Omaha Symphony Orchestra joins with Broadway singers and dancers for a holiday performance.

Breakfast is included. This morning, we will have a docent guided tour of the St. Cecilia Cathedral - a true masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance Revival architecture and one of the ten largest cathedrals in the US. We will then enjoy Ukrainian pastries and coffee as we learn about Ukrainian holiday cultural traditions at the Ukrainian church. Lunch on your own. This afternoon, we will travel to Le Mars, IA, where we will stay the night. Tonight, we will enjoy the Brown Family Christmas Dinner & Show (included).

Breakfast is included this morning. We must head home today after this Christmas tour to Omaha & Le Mars, IA!
